Kenya began her dance career at the early age of 10 studying tap and jazz. At 16 years she trained in ballet and modern dance for the next 6 years. It wasn't until 1999 when her ethnic dance training began in Congolese, Ivory Coast, Guinea, and Haitian folklore dance, and finally East African Egyptian Bellydance. Kenya teaches six dance classes a week and performs as a soloist.
