Description
Dynamic Automation Systems (DAS) is a joint venture company with Caterpillar Elphinstone and Lateral Dynamics. DAS is the designer and manufacturer of MINEGEM™ product range of underground automation solutions for use on underground loaders (LHDs) and works closely with Caterpillar Elphinstone to ensure integration and compatibility.
MINEGEM™ is the result of 7 years of intense development by DAS and its associates, the CSIRO and a consortium of Australian mining Companies.
MINEGEM™ is a hardware, software and communications system for underground loaders (LHDs). The system is an advanced automation package that enables the operator to operate the machine off board or from the surface away from danger. The system has the ability to automatically control the loader to the same level of performance as the operator being on board. This enables the machine to be operated at near the same level of performance as a manned machine for longer periods without the restrictions that inhibit current practices.
