Speed dating is the latest craze and most fun way to meet new people or a potential partner. Speed dating cuts out the cheesy chat-up lines (let's face it, guys, they don't work anyway) and it means you don't have to spend more than 3 minutes listening to someone who simply bores the pants off you. Then, within a few days, when all participants have entered their ticks, you can view your matches on line and receive a list of their e-mail addresses.
When you arrive you will be given a scorecard, a name badge and a pen, then invited to have a drink at the bar. Once everyone has arrived the D8 direct organiser will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions. Then the dating begins. Usually women will stay seated while the men rotate every three minutes upon the sound of a bell. After each date, participants will mark their scorecard as to whether they would like to see that person again. At the end of the evening most people take their scorecards with them to enter their ticks online on our website.
