Description
Mike & Linda Winter have been creating and leading bicycle adventures since 1972. Our first group of 18 very enthusiastic student cyclists had the trip of a life time cycling England and Wales for one month and we had our first cycle tour under our belt!
In the late 1970's we expanded and joined with a partner offering ski tours and became Spokes and Boards. A few years later, we again struck out on our own and became Going Places Cycling Club .
With the growing enthusiasm for fitness, coupled with an epicurean lifestyle and cultural enrichment, the cycletouring holiday became increasingly popular as it satisfied the discriminating traveller with something different and very special. In 1985, when adults began to catch on to the joys and excitement of day-to-day travel by bike, we became CycleVentures Ltd.
