Description
CYB provides six divisions or levels of play - one for each two years of age from 5 through 16 - as defined by PONY Baseball. Generally, a player is assigned to a division based on his/her age as of July 31
, 2005 he/she would play in the Bronco division during the 2005 season.) Generally, a player who wishes to play in an older division may do so with parental permission. However, these players are ineligible for placement on any post-season tournament teams. Under only very limited circumstances, and only with full board approval, is a player allowed to play in a younger division.
Early registration is held in the fall. General registration is held during January. Registration forms are distributed to all public (and some private and charter) schools in Chandler and are mailed to everyone who played in the league in either of the past two years. They are also available at the league registration sessions at the Chandler Community Center (see Important Dates) or may be downloaded by clicking on Forms / Registration. Forms may be mailed with a check to "PO Box 6833, Chandler, AZ 85246-6833" or brought in person to one of the registration sessions. All players who are new to CYB, please include a copy of their birth certificate.
