Please see the announcement below concerning the Organization change of Building Techs to Corporate Real Estate. We normally receive the announcement from the company, but in this case it was forward to us from one of our Locals.

Effective July 1, 2006, the property management functions within the Legacy AT&T network organization will transfer to Corporate Real Estate (CRE). This includes all Domestic, Most Of World, Internet Data Center property management functions (Building & Energy) with the exception of Alaska building operations, Switchgear maintenance programs & direct network supporting UPS maintenance. In addition, Corporate Real Estate will assume responsibility for all building generator maintenance/contracts at Legacy AT&T locations (does not include portables). Employees to be transferred from the AT&T Network Operations organization to the Corporate Real Estate team are listed in the attachment provided, which also outlines their new reporting structure. Transfers will be effective 7/1 with the exception of individuals located in Ohio, who are targeted to move 6/25 because of state unemployment tax implications. These moves will provide the best opportunity to leverage our resources to insure that we maintain the reliability of our facilities, while continuing to aggressively manage costs. Additional announcements will be made as we further define the reporting structure.
