ctfisherman.com started in 1999 as a place to display fishing photos. In May, 2001, the public message board was launched. Originally a place for Connecticut freshwater bass anglers to share reports, the site evolved into a community for all fishermen. The slogan "Beyond addicted. Just Plain Sick!" was spawned to reflect people's rabid passion for the website and fishing, itself. Over the years, ctfisherman.com grew into an 11,000-member-plus community with over 4 million page views per month.
