- CSI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit corporation, which provides childcare and related family services throughout Monterey County in California. CSI began servicing young children in 1973 with two employees working in a Quonset hut classroom on the grounds of a local church in Salinas, CA. Over the last thirty-three years CSI has opened multiple child development centers throughout the County. CSI currently has seven centers throughout the county in Pajaro, Salinas, Marina, Greenfield, Gonzales and our newest migrant worker childcare facility in Soledad. CSI’s mission directly impacts the health, education and welfare of children throughout all of Monterey County.
