Affiliated to the Oxfordshire Football association and members of the Banbury District & Lord Jersey Football League and the Banbury District Sunday Football League, Cropredy FC has built a reputation as a solid, progressive club that competes well in both the local leagues and cup competitions alike.
The history of a football club at Cropredy goes way back to early last century, with the current club being founded in 1967. In that time we have come a long way. Our pitch, looked after by Clive Upton is the envy of many a local club and our facilities are regarded as some of the best in the area, so much so that Cropredy has been used for staging Cup Finals in recent years.
Our Ground lies upon the battlefield of one of the major battles of the English Civil War. On the 29th June 1644 the Royalists under King Charles defeated a Roundhead army led by General Waller.
