Founded in 1870, this vibrant city benefits from both its pioneer heritage and its present day diversity. Home to more than 6,000 residents, Crete provides the comforts of small town living with convenient access to the nearby metropolitan areas of Lincoln and Omaha. Crete is also home to Doane College, the oldest liberal arts College in Nebraska.
