Crank Call - Antique Telephones started out as a hobby in 1988. I was working in the telecommunications industry and became interested in the history of the telephone.
I bought a 1919 dial candlestick phone at a antique mall. When I got home I wondered if the candlestick worked. I hooked up the line cord and was amazed to hear dial tone!
I then pondered if I could actually place a call, so I dialed my mother-in-law. She answered the call and I was hooked.
