About Craftsbury Schools The town of Craftsbury provides a public school system for its children in grades K-12. The Elementary School hosts 60 children in kindergarten through fourth grade. The Academy has 140 student in grades 5 through 12. Craftsbury Academy is home to the oldest continuously operated high school in the state of Vermont. Founded in 1829, the average classroom size is just 13 students, while a typical graduating class is 14 to 20.
