- I've been a Check Point installer, maintainer, consultant, teacher and author for seven years, earning my first CCSE on version 3.0b. I've always felt that getting Firewall-1 to work and understanding its complexities seemed harder than necessary. Very few companies are large enough to afford more than one Firewall-1 specialist, so it seemed the life of a Firewall-1 implementer could be frustrating and lonely. I realize there may be a long proud tradition of frustration and loneliness in the IT business, but I wanted to try to do something about it.
