About cPans.org

The Air and waste Management Association originated after a Detroit meeting in 1906 of smoke inspectors from 13 cities in Canada and the United States. During this 3 day meeting the 55 participants decided to form the International Society for the Prevention of Smoke. The first meeting of the ISPS was held in Milwaukee in 1907, thus forming the Organization. Over the years, the name changed to reflect the focus of the times.
