- Karyn was raised in a small town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. She skied without poles and rode her horse, Chinook, in the Westernaires. Her musical history began in grade school band playing the flute, the marching band - expanding into classical flute and baroque recorders. Then later, the bass guitar for Rock & Roll and country music, where she performed in the Southwest and Mexico.
