Cowlitz Credit Union was established in 1957 and was known at that time as Cowlitz County Employees Credit Union. The Credit Union was created to provide financial services in a democratic, not-for-profit, cooperative manner. As a member (depositor), you are an owner, and have the opportunity to have your voice heard in regards to how we operate our business. There are no stockholders and the Board of Directors are elected by "you" the membership.
