Mid-South Baptist Association Award
Covenant received an “Ebenezer Award” for outstanding work and support to some of the victims of Hurricane Katrina at the Mid-South Baptist Association Camp. Many evacuees were housed at the camp last Summer and several churches in our area were recognized for the manpower, prayers, friendship, financial and emotional support offered to the families affected by Katrina.
Covenant has called a new Pastor!
We have positively seen God’s guidance in this process! Please continue to pray for our new Pastor, his family and his current church.
Our Church
Covenant Baptist Church began her ministry in 1997 with the first service on October 26th in the Forest Hill Malco Cinema. By January 4, 1998, the new congregation had leased the “church” part of the Madonna Learning Center, 7007 Poplar Ave., Germantown, TN. This building, formerly the Germantown Church of Christ, provided chapel and Sunday School space. A house on that property was also leased for office and additional Sunday School space. Charter membership was 124 members.
