Special Session Report: $200 Million in Cuts But No Referral Earlier this week, Governor Brewer issued a call for the state legislature to begin its 5th Special Session on Thursday, December 17. In particular, the Governor requested action on ballot referrals regarding a proposed temporary revenue increase and a proposed temporary suspension of voter-mandated cost drivers.
