The station is online 24 hours a day and every day of the week. You can request songs here. Requests are handled in order, so if two people requested a song before you, your song will come up third. When you request a song, our program will show the approximate time when it will be played. Please check our programming guide to find out what kind of music we are currently broadcasting and when your personal favorites are coming up. Remember that you can only request songs that fit the format of that time of day.

Counterpoint FM was founded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The first broadcast was on October 1, 1986. Counterpoint has been broadcasting on and off throughout the 1990's and the last time the station was on-air was in 2002. Although lans exist to start FM broadcasts again.
The online version of the radio station was started in 1997. On CounterpointFM.com you can listen to r&b, soul, hip hop and rap music, as well as contemporary hits, latino and reggae music. The station is online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Counterpoint has one of the largest r&b and soul record collections in the world and you will not easily hear the same track twice, even if you're a regular listener.
The only way to hear certain songs you like is by requesting them. Visitors can select songs from a list on the website. Every visitor may select one song per hour; if you try to select a second song, the list is blocked and you won't succeed. All of the requested songs are then played in the order in which they were received. When you request a song, you will immediately see at what time it will approximately be played.
On the website you will also find information on many r&b and soul artists, as well as 6 different streams and a list of songs that are currently played.
