about me
My Counselling training began at South East Essex College where I achieved certificates in Counselling Introduction, Counselling Theory, and Counselling Skills. My training then continued at Victoria Counselling and Training Service, where I achieved two further certificates in Cognitive-Behavioural Counselling, one in Transactional Analysis, and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling. I consider continual personal and professional development extremely important, and actively expand my training throughout my career. Further additional training has included Bereavement Care, Schizophrenic Hearing Voices, Gestalt Voice Dialogue, Child Development, Symbolic Play Therapy, and Drug and Alcohol Counselling.
My interest in mental health began during early adolescence, and I am delighted to have developed a career in Counselling. I have been a counsellor for Mind Association for Mental Health and for Terrence Higgins Trust. I am currently counselling for EAP services and for the Primary and Secondary School Sectors. Throughout my career I have provided this personal counselling service for private clients.
As an Accredited Member of BACP I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.
