- The 2008 season is winding down for the Cory and the Barshinger Racing/Haas Motorsports team. Last weekend Cory and the 39 car were at Williams Grove for the final point event of the year. Cory started 8th in his heat race and finished 3rd to make the invert for the feature. With an outside shot at the point title Cory would need a win. He started 11th in the feature and got to 5th pretty quickly. From there the car started to get loose and he was just trying to hang on. In the last two laps he lost a couple positions and finished 7th. It did rap up second in the final point standings but was not what the team was looking for.
