Description

While art has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember, Art's focus changed when he married Pat in 1977. At that time, he was working as a commercial artist. Pat, a noted breeder and exhibitor of Pembroke Welsh Corgis, convinced him to apply his talent and include the dogs in his art work. Corgi enthusiasts began collecting his artwork and before long, he was asked to do other breeds as well.

Among his many proud achievements is having his work displayed in the AKC Dog Museum in St. Louis, MO. However, Art is also well-known for wildlife, seascapes, Native American Indians, and Civil War scenes. His artwork graces homes all over the world. He authored and illustrated the book, "Shorty," the story of a boy and his Corgi growing up in the '30s in rural America. He also illustrated several books for others, including Gayle McEnaney and Connie Foreman's "Gun Lake Revisited," Astrida Stahnke's adaptation of Karlis Skalbe's "Kitty's Water Mill," Allegan County, Michigan's history book, "River and Lake," and Denny Kodners' "The Gift Dogs."
