Cooln.es is a site built by Thomas Luce and Didip Kerabat that aggregates information from around the internet every hour to create lists of cool, interesting, or otherwise distracting news stories. Originally it was a way to avoid going to 20 different news sites every morning, and then other people started to use it. Then they stopped.
The site's features are simple: People want to read about what is happening lately, so anything after a week old is discarded (this includes in search results). Other than that, provide the links with a teaser, and short urls for sharing with other people.
