Description
Conspirare, inspired by the belief in music's power to change people's lives, seeks to draw all persons into the embrace of the musical arts by producing world-class choral/orchestral performances, by exploring avenues of music innovation, and by engaging new and diverse audiences in extraordinary musical and educational experiences.
With this mission in mind, Conspirare (founded as The New Texas Festival in 1991) was born out of a love for singing and a belief in its power to enrich the lives of all who experience it.
In 1993, the first annual, late-spring Festival, a week long "Celebration of the Vocal Arts" was held. An annual Festival was presented to the Austin and Central Texas communities in each succeeding year until 1998, when Conspirare began an exciting and much demanded movement toward presenting a year-round season.
