Complete Music was founded in late 1984 as a result of the amalgamation between Cherry Red Music and Bayswater. Ideally suited to represent the publishing interests of the growing number of independent record labels. In 1985 Martin Costello became Managing Director and soon after he struck a deal with Creation Records head, Alan McGee.
