Compassion for Greyhounds was founded in May of 2003 for the purpose of educating the public about the true personality of the Greyhound. To alleviate common misconceptions many still have about this gentle, majestic breed and to find loving and qualified homes for Greyhounds. With this Compassion for Greyhounds provides ongoing support to those who adopt Greyhounds.

In addition to the above mentioned goals, Compassion for Greyhounds has taken on the mission to unite all greyhound adoption organizations for the same purpose. To assist greyhounds in finding groups to help them get home and build a collaboration for the sole purpose of greyhound adoption.

Compassion for Greyhounds is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is registered with the state of Michigan. Compassion for Greyhounds is run solely by volunteers who give of their time, energy and money for the greyhounds. We receive no compensation for our work other than the true joy of seeing greyhounds united with their loving families. Without the volunteers and people like you, Compassion for Greyhounds would not exist and for that, we thank you.
