- Community Birth & Family Center is currently under construction! Our full-service freestanding birth center offering three beautiful state-of-the-art suites will be finished in May 2008. In the meantime, our 12 midwives are continuing to practice around the metropolitan Seattle area, attending births at Seattle Home Maternity Service in Columbia City, as well as other birth centers in the community and at home. Our midwives are skilled in all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth and use gentle birthing methods that help you feel safe and respected during all stages of your pregnancy.
