Description
Kathy de Haan worked for over 12 years in marketing management/training in the US and The Netherlands before starting Common Link ELT in 2002. She now specializes in providing practical Business English language training to all levels of non-native speakers.
After graduating with a degree in marketing in 1989, Kathy worked in her native US for eight years in Marketing Management in Advertising and Media. This background provided her with a keen sense of how to communicate with various business audiences and how to express ideas quickly and effectively.
She moved to The Netherlands in 1999 and worked for four years as a Marketing/Business Development Director in European IT Market Research. In addition to her management role, Kathy frequently trained Dutch colleagues to help them build English skills and improve their business communication. As a result, she developed a solid understanding of how Dutch people use English.
