Come to the Table: A Conference on Food Faith and Farms in North Carolina

Description

You're invited to "Come to the Table: A Conference on Food, Faith, and Farms."

Three one-day regional sessions will explore how churches can bring us together to relieve hunger and sustain local agriculture in our communities. The eastern N.C. conference will be April 10 in Goldsboro; the central N.C. conference will be April 11 in Orange County; and the western N.C. conference will be April 13 in Asheville.

At each regional session, you will hear speakers on Christian faith and land stewardship, the state of hunger in your area, and the situation of local farms. Local groups who successfully partner churches, farmers, and the hungry will share their stories. Local organizations addressing these issues will host booths. Attendees can share information and find new partners over a locally-grown lunch. Each day ends with a field trip to a local agricultural project.
