As a mother and grandmother, Janice brings incredible life experience to her midwifery practice. She has worked with women and families in a variety of health and social programs for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in counseling, and offers her clients a nurturing and calming personality.
Janice discovered midwifery while attending a friend's birth, and was awe-struck by the beauty and naturalness of the birth. She has attended births since 1982, and graduated from Seattle Midwifery School in 1997. Her studies included work in a variety of Seattle area practices, as well as training in St. Lucia, West Indies, and the Philippines. She is also certified in lactation counseling, hypnobirthing and hypnotherapy.
