Columbia Stallion Station

Description

Columbia Stallion Station is the culmination of two breeding programs and ideas into one force. Jana Peterson began breeding Arabian horses in 1975, after a lifelong involvement with horses in general, and the Arabian in particular. Jana's foundations stallion was a product of breeding a AL Marah Radames daughter to one of BruMarBa's and Dr. Bill and Marge Little's Spanish stallion Jdar Bari Brita. This resulting colt ended up the backbone of what is now Columbia Stallion Station. LN Antiguo Palabro produced many winning halter and performance horses for Ted and Jana before his death in the fall of 1998.

Dr. Ted Wenham began his involvement showing an Arabian gelding at halter. Then he progressed to driving under the tutelage of the late Mr. Lew Cloninger. Ted's first stallion, D.W. Kariq, by *Flis won many driving championships with both Lew and Ted. Kariq also won at the racetrack cementing Ted's love for that side of the Arabian business.

Now, with two sons of LN Antiquo Palabro , the chestnut jack-of-all-trades, LN Primo Palabro ( LN Antiguo Palabro X Princess Silver) and the gray halter champion and regional driving champion, WA Tortuga (LN Antiguo Palabro X Kalyshka), we had the solid foundation of breeding beautiful athletes. The blending of the Spanish with the Polish on the Kellogg/Crabbet base has given us many wonderful horses. But we found ourselves with many crosses back to Antiguo, so began our journey for an out cross.
