Center for Homosocratic Education
Description
Excerpted from the website description:
- Welcome to the Center for Homosocratic Education. Peer evaluation and review for true Socratic Learning.
Homosocratic is a word that Scott Provost has invented to describe a type of peer-to-peer education that he promotes.
On 2009 March 15 Scott created a Wikipedia article about homosocratic. Next day the article was proposed for deletion. Promptly Scott registered the domain name homosocratic.org and created a one page website. He also changed his existing websites Edocio.com, CollegiateIndependentStudy.org and FreeOpenBible.org to use the word homosocratic.
Wikipedia simply missed the boat when they were caught defining what is and isn't a word by using Google. Scientific journals and philosophical debates have discussed autosocratic, homosocratic and every other latin prefix-Socratic theories for hundreds of years. They are in published journals. Wikipedia, a word made up by them (that is OK) operates a fake university called Wikiversity. Free Open University - A Real Free University is banned from Wikipedia even though it is the only Free University on earth and has been around longer than Wikipedia has.

Another term with a subtly different meaning is autosocratic. This is used by RationalSys.com. Although they have established reciprocal links, RationalSys.com is independent from the Scott Provost group of websites.
