Cartoons for Publications

Description

I have been cartooning part-time since I was a teenager. I sold my first cartoon when I was in the eighth grade to Optical Journal and Review of Optometry. Over the years my work has been published in hundreds of publications, mostly small specialized magazines and trade journals.

Although most of my cartooning experience has been in magazine cartooning I also have an interest in animation. I have attended some animation classes at the Screen Cartoonists' Guild in North Hollywood, but for the most part am self-taught. I particularly like the Macromedia Flash program and have used it for some website animations.

Cartooning was always a sideline occupation for me. My full-time work was mostly with movie studios in Hollywood (Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Orion and Walt Disney) where I worked in the areas of advertising, publicity and payroll. I recently retired and can now devote more of my time to cartooning, which I enjoy. I also enjoy playing poker and traveling.
