- One day I slipped and fell. My doctor told me that my foot was broken. I had to wear a cast and was uncomfortable and mostly immobile. The doctor told me to rest as much as possible and limit walking only for necessary movement. I found it very difficult to get up, move around or even reach forward to my low coffee table for my cup of coffee. There was no other place to put my cup of coffee, except on the arm of the sofa or on the arm of a club chair. This became a disaster as I knocked my cup over several times, spilling coffee on expensive leather, fabric, carpet, and on the wood flooring.
