I hope you’re feeling great because today it’s the birthday of CFX! That’s right; exactly 1 year ago today I started this site…with the intention of it being a small community where I can just hang out. I never expected it to grow like it has, and into the wonderful community that CodedFX now is :) I’d like to thank the staff who are committed to making CodedFX a pleasant place to be, without them I wouldn’t be able to keep control of everything! :p Also the members, the people who make the site…I’d like to thank you for your constant activity and unique topics that are created each and everyday. I think CFX is quite a big achievement…1 year, 4,384 members, 113,438 posts. That’s an average of *doesn’t get calculator* 12 members per day, and 310 posts per day – although we get a lot more than that now :)

You may have noticed the server has been having constant problems the last few weeks – slow points, outages and downtime. Well hopefully that will now be fixed. Last night the server was down for a lot of upgrades. Firstly, I had the operating system reinstalled; there may have been a problem before causing the system to crash. Secondly, I have added a second hard drive to the server! Now, the whole server is backed up automatically every single day – so in the event we have any little problems it will take a few seconds to restore the backup. Lastly, I’ve bought an extra stick of RAM taking us up to 1.5GB, this was not necessary but I thought it’s best to have more than not enough :) My pocket’s a little lighter, but well worth the investment in my opinion.

Due to me being extremely busy this week (server issues, getting my blog up and random other things) I’m very late in posting the SOTW winners. I will be posting the winners on Saturday, and the new topics will be posted by Morpheus the same day. I can tell you in advance that the theme will be Freestyle, so feel free to go wild :p
