- The Canadian Open Country Singing Contest Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to promote Canadian Country Talent through organizing on a yearly basis The Canadian Open Country Singing Contest. This self-supporting organization has been known as the starting ground for many up and coming Canadian stars. Contestants as young as 3 years old have graced the stage to be judged by an independent selection of qualified individuals from within the music industry. Contestants are accompanied by a live band and the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience often attended by talent scouts, producers and record company representatives
