Coastguard Northern Region has 750 volunteers who make up the 25 different Units around our coastline. These volunteers give up more than 200,000 hours of service annually in order to save lives at sea.
You may be very surprised to learn that Coastguard is not government funded. We are a member organisation totally dependent upon community support to fund our operations.
