CM (Mike) Henderson, a native Texan, paints Texas. Cowboys and cattle, the coastal bend, and hill country fill every canvas and watercolor.
"I just paint what I know. I've been studying and painting Texas skies and everything under them for over 40 years now, and there's always something new. The morning atmosphere, afternoon clouds, longhorns, and wildflowers by the roadside all keep me enthusiastic about painting and life. I want to share that enthusiasm. Maybe I can in some small way through my work," Mike says.
Mike has been many things in life. He has been a commercial artist, musician, song writer, roofer, carpenter, firefighter, yet through it all, he has been an artist. He has worked in pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, egg tempera, he has done brass and copper etching and engraving, and now has settled on oils and watercolors.
