The Clwyd Clippers has been recognised as an exciting and innovative men's barbershop chorus of great ability, performing songs with stunning verve and energy. We are based at the prestigious Clwyd Theatr Cymru in the pretty market town of Mold in the county of Flintshire in North Wales, and have been well known throughout the area for our dazzling and spectacular shows. The chorus was formed in 1987. Why are we called the Clwyd Clippers? Well, in 1987 the county wasn't called Flintshire, it was called Clwyd!
Mold barbershop harmony club is a well run club with weekly newsletters to keep all our members up to date, structured rehearsal nights, plenty of friendly support for newcomers and a great atmosphere. We have an excellent Performance Development Team to look after our musical and performance needs, and our Management Team meets monthly to keep the club running smoothly and to plan the way forward. We also have a great club magazine that goes by the wonderful name of the Clwyd Clippings!
