My name is Bob Gates and I am President of The Cleveland Parachute Center, Inc. In this letter I want to share with you my Journey and Love for Skydiving and Sport Parachuting.
I was 3 yrs old in 1957, when my Dad, Dale Gates a skydiving Pioneer, made his first jump. He jumped out of the local farm fields in N.E. Ohio from a Taylor Craft. His jump instruction consisted of "You See The Ground Twice after Leaving The Aircraft, Pull your Ripcord". The jumpers back then jumped from the towering altitude of only 1,800'. WOW !
