Clebia's Place was built as a single family home in 1904 by a shipbuilder for his family. It withstood completely intact both San Francisco's major earthquakes. The building was used as owner occupied rental housing until 2000 when Clebia realized that this hidden haven would be best shared with a wider audience.
The Chateau is a serene, tastefully appointed split level apartment. The sliding glass doors in the living room open to the deck in the garden where you can sun bathe or breakfast while you watch the humming birds dart and swoop among the lemon blossoms, jasmine and sage.
