Classic modern is based in London, UK. We source our vintage 50s, 60s and 70s retro modern lighting, textiles, rugs, ceramics and glass, plastics and metalware in our regular travels around Europe and in particular Scandinavia. We seek out quality vintage items in classic modern design styles ranging from midcentury modern through abstract geometric mod and op-art to space-age pop-art and Panton-era psychedelic. Some of our items are established design classics by artists or architects, while others are less well-known but have caught our eye because of their classic modern styling and high quality.
We run the site from our home in central London so have no shop or showroom, but are happy to provide further information on any of the items featured upon request. We also welcome your emails with comments or information.
We accept payment worldwide through our secure online payment system. From UK buyers we also accept payment by cheque in GB pounds drawn on a UK bank account.
