At about 8:00 pm on February 6, the City’s 16 inch water main developed a large leak; crews were called out and began closing the isolation valves in the area to contain the leak. In the process, a 16 inch valve stem broke in the open position. This is the first valve out of the plant and we have been unable to shut off the line. Additional crews and parts are in route to make the repair.
