- Through teaching classes in the Quad Cities and taking workshops there as well as Taos, New Mexico, I have been able to blend my gardening interest and my enjoyment of the Southwest with my painting. The organic nature of the landscape and the structures are very similar to those of a flower. I would like to think that I am seeing the same things that Georgia O'Keefe saw and loved in both subjects.
