The History of Punta GordaThe Historic Preservation Advisory Board (HPAB) is composed of citizens to advise the City Council on matters of importance to the Historic areas of the City. For more information click here. The City was founded in 1882 by Colonel Isaac Trabue on 30 acres of land on the southern shore of Charlotte Harbor and was known as the Town of Trabue.
