ChurchPro is a collaboration of talents. Data Base Designs designed and developed the program starting in 1994. A pastor in Aberdeen, Maryland wanted a complete church management package for his church so he designed it. Soon other pastors wanted a copy and ChurchPro was born. During the next six years the package became more and more popular. Soon the pastor had more work than he could do and started looking for more help.
The Santa Fe Group began in 1986 to help small businesses find better accounting solutions. In 1988 the United Methodist Publishing House invited them to be a part of the training and marketing team for their church management system. The publishing house discontinued that business unit in 1999. The Santa Fe Group had a strong list of client churches, which needed assistance with technology. In 1995 the group added eChurch.com to its name and in 2002 met ChurchPro. eChurch.com had expertise in marketing, training and support of church management systems and ChurchPro had expertise in development.
Today both organizations bring you ChurchPro and SchoolPerfect, a private school administration package. Hempstead, Texas is the home of eChurch.com. Hempstead is a rural city northwest of Houston. On the campus of eChurch.com is a 6,000 square foot church technology center which houses The Support Center, web services, research and development, video services and administrative offices.
