- Co-founded OnRes Systems Inc., a leading software company, which was sold in 2005
- Also co-founded and in 2006, sold popular local tourism portal, DiscoverVancouver.com
- Volunteers with various cancer related charities including Camp Good Times, which provides children with cancer a chance to enjoy summer camp
- In 2007, captained the team "Breast in Show" for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, and raised $63,000 in donations for the cause
- In 2008, joined the board for the Yaletown Business Improvement Association
