China-Buy is a specialist sourcing and buying office, serving clients from every nation and assisting them with their China, Taiwan and Hong Kong import projects. We began as a small trading company assisting global importers with sourcing, inspections, translations/interpretation, negotiation, introductions and site visits, shipping formalities, etc. These are essentially the same services we provide today, but now we have narrowed our focus to the products we know best and which our region specialises in:

We do the "hard yards" for our clients, constantly visiting factories, establishing close relationships, negotiating, following up production and shipping, etc. Problems arise when importers attempt to source without an intimate knowledge of the marketplace. Communication is a serious barrier. Another problem is that many suppliers do not have any significant English marketing program, including not appearing in major English-language search engines nor on major trade portals. Many factories have been serving the local Chinese market for years and have only recently entertained the idea of exporting. Furthermore, new factories and suppliers are springing up everywhere. Thus, any long-distance sourcing exercise will only scratch the surface. Even taking a trip to China is far from practical.

Anyone who has been on a sourcing trip to China will tell you that you need to spend a very long time here to get anything done, due to the large travelling distances and plethora of suppliers. Intending importers arrive in China with their list of factories to visit only to find that for every manufacturer on their list, their are another ten they never knew about, many with much better offerings. This leads to a wild goose chase and in many cases, the importers original plans are scuppered. It has taken us months and years to begin to understand the supply situation here, and we are located right here in the major supply hub!
