When Fred Norman opened Chianti Café in 1988, the busy commercial area was in need of a reliable, consistent and inviting place for lunches and an intimate room for appetizing dinners. Chianti has filled those roles ever since, and is still going strong. An array of eight or nine specials gives regulars different options each week, and the homemade pastas – fettuccine, spaghetti, linguini, etc. – are presented in a myriad of ways with assorted sauces and combinations of seafood, meats and vegetables to please any palate. With lunch pastas at only $7.99, this inexpensive and spacious location deserves its reputation for good food, and good company.
