Title
Charities' Property Association
Description
CPA represents almost one hundred charities with significant property portfolios, including major charitable housing trusts, some of the Oxford and Cambridge colleges, several Anglican cathedrals, and some of the major public schools.
Although Members hold property for functional purposes, for example, as offices, laboratories, or as housing, the main focus of the Association is on charities that hold land either as an endowment or by purchase to sustain their charitable objects - which include environmental protection and conservation.
Through the production of regular newsletters CPA keeps members informed of key legislative and political developments within Government, Parliament, Whitehall and the European Union. Newsletters cover agricultural and environmental issues, housing and land law, planning law and development, and, of course, charity law.
